Ivoclar Vivadent appoints new Chief Financial Officer

Schaan, Liechtenstein - 06 December 2010

Jochen Bohner has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Ivoclar Vivadent Group. He takes up the position of Dr Erich Viertler, who will retire at the end of the year.

In addition to Finance and IT, Jochen Bohner will assume responsibility for the Human Resources sector on 1 January 2011. Furthermore, he will be a Member of the Corporate Management. "We are pleased to have Mr. Bohner join Ivoclar Vivadent. His experience and overall financial competence will support our continued growth," said Robert Ganley, CEO of the Ivoclar Vivadent Group.

After having studied Business Administration in Stuttgart he obtained an MBA from the University of Kansas (USA). Bohner, aged 39, has pursued a very successful career at the pharmaceutical company Novartis for 13 years and held various positions in Switzerland and internationally. In his most recent position at Novartis he was the Chief Financial Officer of Novartis Brazil, a position which he held for four and a half years.

Dr Erich Viertler will remain in office as CFO until 31 December 2010. After he has reached the statutory age of pension, he will retire from his professional activities. Erich Viertler looks back on a long career in the position of CFO. After having held positions at Ivoclar Vivadent Italy and Ivoclar Vivadent Germany (2000–2006), he was appointed CFO of the Ivoclar Vivadent Group and Member of the Corporate Management at the Corporate Headquarters in Schaan, Principality of Liechtenstein, in June 2006.
